Bottle Washer

A bottle rinser sits inside a filling machine and removes dust and residue from new bottles immediately before filling, which is a short, light process. A bottle washer is a separate, larger machine with a continuous spray system and a large-capacity cleaning tank, used where bottles need heavier cleaning — returned or re-used bottles in particular. If you fill new bottles, a rinser is usually enough; if you handle returns, you need a washer.

The machine uses a continuous spray cleaning system with an integrated water recycling system, which cuts water consumption and operating cost compared with single-pass spray washing. Recirculation is what sets the figure: a closed-loop system of this type typically cuts fresh-water intake by 35–50% against single-pass spraying, so the rated-maximum figure is not the one that matters. Water consumption scales with bottle size and throughput, so ask for the figure at your target bottles per hour rather than at rated maximum.

Yes. The bottle washer handles both glass and PET bottles, and is used for wine, milk, honey, juice and similar products. PET bottles are lighter and need gentler handling than glass, so the guide settings and spray pressure are set accordingly. In size terms the washer covers bottle heights of 120–380 mm and diameters of 12–55 mm, and the same machine and settings family serve both materials.

On the standard machine, washing capacity runs from 500 to 3,000 bottles per hour across 24 washing heads. Note the division of labour with the rinser inside the filler — the washer handles the heavy cleaning, the rinser handles the final dust removal immediately before the fill.
